Reddit's own search is patchy for finding what people say about a brand. Enter a name or keyword and this builds the searches, on Reddit and through Google, that find the reviews, complaints and recommendation threads.

These open Reddit and Google in a new tab. Nothing you type is sent to Mentionfront.
Reddit's built-in search matches post titles and text well but is weak at surfacing individual comments, where most honest product opinions live. Google indexes many of those threads, so adding site:reddit.com to a query often digs up discussions Reddit's own box misses.
| Search | Good for |
|---|---|
| Reddit, all of Reddit | Recent posts, sorted by newest or top |
| Reddit, one subreddit | What a specific community says, like r/BuyItForLife or a category subreddit |
| Google, reviews and complaints | Honest opinions, using words like "review", "scam" and "alternative" |
| Google, questions people ask | Purchase-intent threads where someone is asking what to buy |
Google's time filter only applies to results Google has indexed, so very recent posts may not show yet. Use the Reddit search for those.
A manual search shows what's there right now. It won't tell you when a thread about your product takes off overnight, and it needs repeating for every product name, misspelling and competitor. Mentionfront's Reddit monitoring watches subreddits and keywords continuously and alerts you when a relevant mention appears, so you can reply while the thread is still active.
