Brand24 is a strong all-round media monitoring tool: news, blogs, podcasts, reviews and social in one place. If you run an online store, you may be paying for sources you rarely open, while the questions you actually care about (which product, is this person about to buy, what needs a reply) still take filtering and reading. Mentionfront is built only for that job.

Monthly cost to track 10 keywords
Brand + 4 products + 5 competitor terms · billed annually · one user
Brand24's Individual (3 keywords) and Team (7) plans are too small for this setup. Pro includes 40,000 mentions a month versus Starter's 1,000, so heavy-volume brands should compare on mentions too.
Prices from brand24.com/prices and Mentionfront's pricing, September 2026.
You need coverage beyond social media (news, blogs, podcasts, newsletters, review sites, LinkedIn), faster updates, PDF or white-label reports, or very high mention volumes with unlimited users.
You sell products online and mostly care about TikTok, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, X and Facebook: which product people mean, who's ready to buy or switch, and which complaints need a reply today.
Brand24 starts at $199/month billed annually for 3 keywords and 2,000 mentions. Mentionfront starts at $29/month billed annually for 10 keywords and 1,000 mentions.
None of these make Brand24 a bad tool. They're the points where a general-purpose monitoring platform and an online store's needs drift apart.
Brand24 counts each word or phrase you track as a keyword, and plans include 3, 7, 12 or 25. A store that wants its brand, its bestsellers and a few competitors passes 7 quickly, which puts it on Pro at $399/month (annual) or $499 month to month.
Reading the ten lowest-rated Brand24 reviews on G2 in September 2026, three of them were about results that weren't relevant — spam, off-topic posts, or a product name that collides with other brands. Names like "Daily Serum" or "The Crew" make that harder, since they appear in other brands' posts too.
Brand24's sentiment, emotion and AI topic analysis work for any brand, from a SaaS company to a public figure. They don't know what a size complaint, a shipping delay or a "switching from" post means to a store, or which of your products a mention is about.
Podcasts, newsletters, Twitch and news coverage matter a lot to PR teams. For a DTC brand whose customers talk in TikTok comments and Reddit threads, they can be the part of the bill that doesn't get used.
We make Mentionfront, so don't take our word for any of this. These are verbatim quotes from public reviews, each linking to the original so you can read the whole thing and decide for yourself.
It isn't very helpful when it comes to monitoring talk on private groups, Reddit boards, Instagram, stories, etc.
Very expensive, difficult to navigate, and limited platform. Poor customer service will "help" you set it up in ways that exhaust your platform credits and then try to upsell you to a $250+/mo. package to actually get it to work for the one thing you want it to do.
One of the best tool. Very useful to see the trends and track your company (or competitors). Definitely with to try.
Two caveats worth stating: Brand24 has far more positive reviews than negative ones, and Trustpilot holds only a handful of reviews for it either way, so this is a small sample rather than a verdict. We picked quotes that name something specific an online store would feel — coverage gaps, credit limits, and what people like about it — not the angriest ones we could find.
Brand24 details come from its public pricing page and help center, checked in September 2026. If something has changed since, we'd like to know.

Mentionfront's trial is capped at 1 keyword and 100 mentions, whichever the 7 days don't already close out.
In Brand24, a keyword is a word to search for. In Mentionfront, a keyword is also a brand, a product or a competitor, and every mention is tied to the one it matched. Import a CSV of your catalog and each product gets its own keyword, with its own sentiment, topics and priority queue.
That's what lets you answer "is the new Barrier Cream getting complaints?" without building a filter, and see a problem product even when your overall brand sentiment looks fine. More in product-level tracking.
The new Barrier Cream formula stings, the old one was perfect. Did something change?
Brand24 has added AI intent labels that can flag likely buyers, and a Smart Context Search add-on for filtering by meaning. In Mentionfront, intent is the backbone of the inbox rather than a filter you apply: ready-to-buy, recommendation requests and competitor-switch posts go to Opportunities; complaints and objections go to Needs attention.
Each mention also gets a 0–100 priority score that lists its reasons, so the first thing you see each morning is the post most likely to need you. See sentiment and intent analysis.
| Mentionfront intent | Goes to |
|---|---|
| Ready to buy | Opportunities |
| Competitor alternative | Opportunities |
| Recommendation request | Opportunities |
| Complaint | Needs attention |
| Objection | Needs attention |
| Feedback, advocacy, other | Main feed and analytics |
Brand24's topic analysis groups mentions into topics it discovers, which suits open-ended research. Mentionfront uses a fixed set of ten ecommerce topics: shipping and delivery, sizing and fit, product quality, price and value, customer service, packaging, scent and taste, ingredients and materials, comparison to competitor, and other.
Fixed topics are less flexible, but they're comparable week to week and map straight to an owner. When packaging complaints double this month, you know who to tell.

Brand24 covers far more of the internet than Mentionfront does. That's a real advantage if press coverage, podcasts or review sites matter to you, and Mentionfront doesn't try to match it.
Mentionfront goes narrower and deeper on the six social platforms where shoppers talk: comments under matching TikTok, Instagram, Reddit and YouTube posts, Facebook Pages and Groups you pick, and Meta Ad Library ads naming you or a competitor. Each platform page explains exactly what's covered, starting with TikTok.
What Mentionfront doesn't do
No news, blog, podcast or review-site monitoring. No PDF or white-label reports. No real-time feed. No publishing. If any of those are must-haves, Brand24 is likely the better fit.
Both tools count every tracked word or phrase as one keyword, so the comparison is like for like. Prices are per month, billed annually.
| Your setup | Brand24 plan you'd need | Mentionfront plan you'd need |
|---|---|---|
| A founder or solo marketer: 10 keywords, under 1,000 mentions a month | Pro · $39912 keywords, 40K mentions, unlimited users | Starter · $2910 keywords, 1K mentions, 1 user |
| A small team: 25 keywords, under 10,000 mentions a month | Business · $59925 keywords, 100K mentions, unlimited users | Growth · $7925 keywords, 10K mentions, you + 5 teammates |

Where Brand24 wins on price: brands with a few keywords but very high mention volume, and teams that need more than 11 users. Brand24's API is a $149 add-on; Mentionfront's MCP server is included.
Mentionfront can't import mention history from Brand24. If you want old mentions for reference, export them from Brand24 before your plan ends.
Each Brand24 keyword becomes a Mentionfront keyword. Mark each one as your brand, a product or a competitor. Brand24 excluded keywords map to exclude terms. Mentionfront doesn't use Boolean operators, so turn complex queries into a more specific phrase.
Upload a product CSV from Shopify or any spreadsheet with a title column. Each product becomes its own keyword, up to your plan's limit.
Each new Mentionfront keyword looks back 7 days (3 on Instagram), so you can compare what both tools found for the same week before your Brand24 renewal.
A fair test
Pick your most-mentioned product, not your brand name. Count how many mentions each tool found for it on TikTok, Instagram and Reddit, and how many you'd actually reply to.
